US Passport Costs to Increase

If you are planning to travel soon and need a US Passport, I highly suggest you apply soon.  The cost of the passport will increase on April 2nd.  Basically the "execution fee" of $25 will increase to $35 for first time applicants who apply at the Post Office or a passport office.  The fee is said not increase for those who mail in their applications.

The fee for the passport card will increase also.  The cost will soon be $65 for adults and $50 for children.

The cost of an adult passport will be $145 after April 2.  A child passport for anyone 16 or younger will cost $115.  To get or renew a passport, visit https://www.usa.gov/passport.
