Happy 50th Birthday, Desiree!

Lisa Kathan Photography

Hey there, Friends! Today is a special day because I'm turning the big 5-0! Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday I was a young, clueless woman, but here I am, a seasoned expert in the art of adulting. So, in honor of this milestone, I've decided to share with you some things I've learned on this wild rollercoaster called life. Buckle up and get ready for some laughs and heartfelt reflections…25 to be exact!

  1. Wrinkles are just souvenirs from all the smiles you've collected. Wear them with pride.

  2. Good health insurance is gold!

  3. Age is just a number, but maturity is optional.

  4. The older you get, the more you appreciate a good nap.

  5. Never underestimate the power of a good stretch in the morning. Your body will thank you.

  6. You can never have too many pairs of comfy shoes.

  7. The more you try to hide gray hair, the more it seems to multiply. Just embrace them.

  8. Sing like nobody's watching, especially when everyone's watching. Life's too short to worry about if you hit that note.

  9. Remember, behind every successful person is a substantial amount of coffee.

  10. Laughter truly is the best medicine. Except maybe cake. And pizza. And ice cream. Okay, it's the fourth-best medicine.

  11. There's no shame in talking to yourself; it's the only way to have an intelligent conversation around here!

  12. You're never too old to chase your dreams.

  13. Confidence is the best accessory you can wear.

  14. Time spent with loved ones is never wasted.

  15. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, make you laugh, and appreciate your unique brand of craziness.

  16. Never underestimate the power of a good hug. Hugs are like magic elixir that brings warmth and comfort to the soul.

  17. Travel as much as you can. There's a whole world out there waiting to be explored, and your passport deserves some stamps.

  18. Learn to let go of what no longer serves you—bad habits, toxic relationships, and old grudges. Life is too short to hold onto negativity.

  19. It's okay to be vulnerable and ask for help. We're all just trying to navigate this crazy journey called life together.

  20. Remember to laugh at yourself.

  21. Learn to say no without guilt. Your time and energy are precious resources—use them wisely.

  22. Don't be afraid to reinvent yourself. Change is a natural part of life, and embracing it opens up new possibilities.

  23. Take care of your body and mind. Eat your veggies, exercise regularly, and indulge in some guilty pleasures from time to time.

  24. Embrace technology but don't let it consume your life. Sometimes unplugging and connecting with nature is the best reboot.

  25. Finally, remember that life is a beautiful journey, and you're the one holding the map. Embrace the twists, turns, and detours, and make every moment count.

So, there you have it, Friends—some life lessons from someone who's been around the block a few times. As I celebrate this milestone, I'm grateful for the laughter, the tears, and the countless memories that have shaped me into who I am today. Cheers to 50 and all the adventures that lie ahead! Now, where did I put my glasses?

Until next time…WEDologize!
